Then my sweet husband got me flowers

Then, it doesn't look like it, but I broke my brother's stairs while holding his baby.

the tiny little vulture. grandpa broke the peanut shells and she snatched the peanuts.

he's not really a grump. just bad timing with the picture.

& some weekend inspiration from the parking garage at UVU...

also. i'm considering getting bangs. 

& dying my hair. like an ombre/melt type thing.

State Street Grill

>> Josua and I decided to try the State Street Grill last night.
It was good. I got a BL (a BLT without the T).
Joshua got a Breakfast Samich.
They were good. Nothing spectacular.

although we didn't really give them the chance to impress.

not much to do with a BL and Breakfast Samich...

But the fries were almost perfect.
They were crispy and potatoey.

would have been perfect with a thick shake.

mmmmhmmmm...

they had Barq's.

we didn't try their milk shakes.. 

maybe next time. but only if they're thick.

+ i love dōTERRA. they are so good to me. 

+ Joshua finally fulfilled my birthday promise and took me to dinner and a show.

"what's wrong with these photos?" photos.

Lots of crazy things have been happening in the Knapton home.

1. Joshua completed his goal of running a 5k.

2. he finished. time: 22:33

3. We went to the Steel Days Carnival.

Joshua, Brooks and I raced our horses. Brooks won. 

4. We have had lots of pretty sunsets thanks to the nasty fires. 

5.  We went on what seemed like a 16 hundred mile walk through the AF trails.

6. Fox Hollow is right behind those trees.

8. we went to California Pizza Kitchen. it was alright.

Also. I had a brilliant idea this week. dōTERRA for baby. genius right? I know. 

I found this store, that's almost the same but not as cool. Zoe Organics.

If anyone can guess the "wrong" in all of these pics i'll give you something amazing.

This may be the only one. We'll see how adventurous we really are.
Joshua & I found a recipe on Pinterest and decided to try it.
PEPPERJACK BACON MAC N' CHEESE.
we loved it. it was kinda spicy. and we didn't even put the jalapeños in it.
keep some juice close by.
this recipe made tons. we've been eating it for days.
the bacon and peppers were crispy and delicious.
here's our version of the recipe.

INGREDIENTS
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
12 ounces elbow macaroni
8 (or more) slices bacon, cut into pieces first, then cooked until crispy (it crisps up tons better this way)
½ white onion (or less. i like less.)
½ cup red pepper, diced
2 teaspoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons flour
½ cup half & half
¾ cup chicken broth
8 ounces shredded pepperjack cheese
4 ounces fat free cream cheese
salt & pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
1. cook macaroni according to package directions & drain.
2. spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and sauté onions and peppers for 3-4 minutes.
3. add garlic and sauté for another minute or two. don't burn it!
4. add the flour and stir until veggies are coated.
5. add half & half, chicken broth, pepperjack cheese and cream cheese. stir until cheeses are melted.
6. add sauce and bacon to cooked macaroni. stir.

one day i'll be better at taking pictures of food.

Junior Status.

Last week was stressful. 

I had a test, and a final.

But I do love Block math classes. 

Soon after July 5th I will officially have my Associates Degree.

Then I had to teach the Young Women today.

Thank heavens for hand outs. 

We found this glorious treat. 

These bags never last long around here.

He needs a hair cut. Real bad.

Joshua and I went to the Air Show at Hill Air Force Base..

very unprepared.

We expected a 1-2 hour show & public bleachers.

Turns out the show is 6 hours long and the public bleachers are really private.

We got sunburns, sore feet, and empty tummies.

But Joshua liked the big loud airplanes. 

excuse our yucky feet. just look at the soon to be tan lines.

when my husband is on business..

i end up blogging during normal snuggle hours.
last month we went to a sealing in the salt lake temple.
it was lovely.

clearly he was getting sick of taking pictures.

hashtag creepy cousin josh.

then once we got donuts. from a donut trailer. 

 but i spilled in Joshua's newly cleaned car. oopsies.

also, one day i'm gonna have a home that i can decorate with these

and maybe it won't look completely ridiculous.

Joshua comes back on Friday.

in what feels like 16 days.

until then... 

here's a mushy story.

while on our cruise joshua was flipping through the limited tv channels.
he came across 2 different cartoons
to both of which he said, "ooh! Ash i love these shows!"
so i said, "i love you…"
"aw! i love you too."
"no.. i was reminding myself."
Joshua got a little pouty after that.
but he was holding back a laugh.
also, we want a bunny. like this one.

and the best day of all…

i forgot my bouquet on the wedding day.
but they were my favorite.
anemone, hydrangea, and ranunculus mostly..

we loved those two days.

but we have loved the days following even more.
